Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Theif

Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of a boarding school...again. And that's the least of his troubles. Lately, mythological creatures and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them. Zeus's master lightning blot has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect.
Now, Percy and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true theif: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.
"Excelent book. I was up until late reading with great curiousity of what would come next." Taylor Nikolaus

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games
by Suzanne Collins
In the ruins of a place once known as North America, lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Sixteen-year old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister, Prim's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to death before-and survival, for her is a second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is too win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and live against love.

My review:
I absolutely loved this book. It is a total page turner. I read it in four days my eyes glued to the pages. This action packed love story is amazing! I recommend The Hunger Games to anyone who wants a good book.
